There are two types of faith, the first is based on feelings, emotion, love.
Nature is the main source of this emotion, it gives us a feeling of peace and inner well-being. The laughter of a child, the play of animals, a flower, a tree, a starry sky, the force of the waves, a ray of sunshine. All this beauty makes us feel intensely alive, makes us feel good. Why is that? Because its author is Love, God is love (1 John 4:8). So, unconsciously we feel it through his creation.
Knowledge
The second type of faith is based on knowledge. The Bible gives us knowledge, conviction, absolute certainty of what we hope for, clear evidence of unseen realities. (Hebrews 11:1)
These two types of faith are indispensable but not inseparable. One can have knowledge without love, or conversely, love without knowledge. "Do you believe that there is only one God? You are right. But the demons also believe, and tremble" (James 2:19)
The demons were angels who lived in heaven and had direct access to the heavenly presence of God, but they had more love for themselves than for their creator. So, despite the knowledge, they willingly rejected the love of God.
